I’m An Old Man, Easily Confused

Now I am reluctant to criticize our Supreme Court. It gives me a feeling akin to complaining about the Red Cross, the Girl Scouts, Babe Ruth, or Mother Teresa. But, as Oliver Cromwell said as King Charles I was beheaded, “What a cruel necessity.”

Let me start with a cold, hard fact: the Supreme Court pays its justices for commuting even though reimbursements for commuting are not allowed.

I know that many of you may be ready to canonize me for accusing the Supreme Court of misappropriating (AKA stealing) public funds. So I want you to read the two attached letters.

So, simplified, you can see on August 15, 2022 their beautiful attorney (I have documents that show that Justices like pretty women) mentions “routine travel” five times in one paragraph.

Then, on April 5, 2023, eight months later, she states that she has done plumb forgot what “routine travel” means.

She has conveniently forgot because I told her that routine travel by the Supreme Court is “commuting” and not reimbursable. Just a small matter of $1.5MM per year for the last ten years, which is a total of $15,000,000.
